Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Brinkmann Constructors. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us make data-driven decisions that drive business performance and inform strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver insights through ad hoc and long-term reports, dashboards, and tools using Power BI and/or Excel.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Make recommendations and implement solutions to align business functions with organizational goals.
  • Support automation and standardization of reporting processes and tools, ensuring efficient and consistent data analysis across the company.
  • Optimize and maintain dashboards to ensure timely, accurate, and user-friendly reporting, including troubleshooting and performance enhancements as needed.
  • Validate data accuracy and reliability by conducting thorough testing of dashboards, reports, and tools.
  • Communicate complex data and analysis in a clear, actionable manner to influence decision-making at all levels.
  • Provide end-user support and training on data tools and solutions, assisting with software implementation when necessary.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization to continually enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong initiative, effective at managing time independently and collaborating with teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and address business problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to propose and support process changes and initiatives.
  • Skilled in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information.
  • Continuous learner, staying updated with industry trends and data analysis technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Construction industry experience is considered a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI preferred, Domo, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of data management best practices and experience implementing and maintaining them.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, basic mathematics and statistics, and experience with SQL, DAX, and/or M (Power Query language).
Working Conditions

The Data Analyst's work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann's corporate office. This role requires regular office hours, with potential for extended hours during reporting cycles. Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds and some standing, walking, sitting, talking, and/or hearing.
