General Overview

We are seeking a Nutrition Services Manager to spearhead the development, execution, and assessment of our nutrition program, ensuring it effectively addresses children's nutritional requirements and positively influences their development. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote healthy eating practices and nutrition education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage food service personnel, interns, and volunteers.
  • Lead a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality nutrition services.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to achieve nutrition outcome metrics.
  • Engage in grant applications and fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to ensure program sustainability.
  • Ensure adherence to nutrition standards and guidelines.
  • Provide training and resources on nutrition and healthy living.
  • Manage budget and program finances effectively.
  • Conduct nutritional assessments and create individualized nutrition plans.
  • Coordinate community partnerships to enhance nutrition programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing staff and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective nutrition programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Additional fluency in a second language may be required.

Screenings:

  • Applicants must complete background checks and health screenings.
  • Required immunizations include TB, MMR, and Tdap.

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility with work hours and occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and regulations is essential.
  • Completion of required professional development and training is expected.
  • Assignment of other related duties as needed.
