Position Summary:
The Agile Product Manager (APM) plays a crucial role within an agile development team, tasked with advocating for stakeholder interests and ensuring the delivery of a valuable product. The APM serves as the principal source of product information and holds the ultimate authority over product backlog decisions. Acting as the customer’s voice, the APM guarantees that the development team comprehends end-user needs and delivers a product that fulfills those requirements. Close collaboration with technical leaders and the development team is essential to maintain alignment and focus on producing a high-quality product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Articulating and disseminating the product vision, objectives, and goals informed by market analysis, user requirements, and overarching business strategy.
  • Working in partnership with the development team to ensure clarity and understanding of product backlog items and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensuring the development team possesses a comprehensive understanding of product requirements and user stories.
  • Regularly reviewing and refining the product roadmap and backlog to adapt to evolving market dynamics, customer demands, and business priorities.
  • Gathering market insights and translating them into long-term strategies for designated products and areas of expertise, including market potential, features/benefits, positioning, and messaging.
  • Executing go-to-market strategies and process enhancements to effectively launch products and features.
  • Evaluating completed product backlog items to determine alignment with acceptance criteria and business objectives.
  • Providing timely feedback to the development team and stakeholders regarding product progress and any adjustments to the product backlog.
  • Inspiring and motivating development teams to deliver innovative solutions with a sense of urgency.
  • Serving as the product ambassador internally and externally, and being the primary contact for product-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Product Owner collaborating with a development team.
  • Certification as a Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred.
  • Experience in software product strategy and management with a proven track record of delivering value.
  • Familiarity with complex customer environments and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience leading software product development in an Agile setting utilizing frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong skills in team/project management, communication, and presentation.
  • Self-driven, energetic, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
