Job Summary

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanics, mathematics, and metal properties, as well as the ability to follow established processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate basic equipment and machines, carrying out routine tasks with precision and accuracy.
  • Carry out operational tasks by following established processes and procedures, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, preparing for tasks and providing support as needed.
  • Follow mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the well-being of oneself and others.
  • Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
  • Exchange information with people, having courteous interactions and clear communication.
  • Work with guidance to understand policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and objectives.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of relevant machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, with a willingness to participate in the on-call program.
Preferred Experience/Skills
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actions.
  • Ability to work with guidance to plan, organize, and prioritize activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package, ERP systems like SAP or similar.
