This position reports to

Field Service Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to perform service tasks of medium to high complexity following established work instructions and ABB protocols. Each day, you will provide exceptional customer service to meet client needs. You will also demonstrate your expertise by collaborating with clients to identify opportunities within the installed base, enhancing system and operational performance. The work model for this role is: Remote. This position contributes to the Electrification Service division in the designated region. Key stakeholders include various customer groups and internal teams. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Enhancing customer satisfaction by planning and executing service tasks according to client orders and expectations.
• Ensuring customer loyalty by delivering an outstanding service experience and effectively communicating service timelines and expectations.
• Identifying new service business opportunities for ABB in close collaboration with clients and other ABB teams.
• Mentoring technicians and engineers while overseeing complex site operations.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 additional years of relevant engineering/field experience). A minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience is required.
  • Proven ability to establish strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong business acumen.
  • Familiarity with the industrial customer base in the geographical area.
  • Technical expertise in testing power distribution and delivery systems, including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays, and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays).
  • Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems), control systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% as required. Must possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license. ABB will only employ individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.   • Candidates must already have work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
