Overview:

The role involves the assessment, analysis, and recommendation of enhancements for designated applications and systems, ensuring ongoing operational maintenance and issue resolution. This position supports the planning, design, development, and configuration of the relevant applications and systems; oversees or coordinates data migrations, application testing, and documentation of system processes; contributes to the design and development of training materials and assists in the execution of training related to assigned initiatives; provides support during system go-lives, and acts as the primary contact for ongoing operational maintenance and troubleshooting. Participation in after-hours support schedules is expected as defined by the team. This role may also involve serving as a Team Leader or Project Manager for medium to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The incumbent will evaluate project requests pertinent to their area of expertise and/or the systems they support, conducting assessments of current states, gathering and defining requirements, and designing future states along with application build activities. They will lead implementation teams in the planning, design, development, testing (including unit, application, and integrated testing), and deployment of projects, while also contributing to the development of related training programs, post-implementation documentation, and production support services. It is essential to ensure that system designs comply with corporate policies and applicable federal regulations. Collaboration with customer departments is necessary to ensure that solutions to complex business challenges are suitable across the organization.

Preparation of detailed project plans is required. The Analyst will guide the Application Team in adhering to project timelines and completing initiatives on schedule and within budget. They will identify and escalate issues to the appropriate sponsor group, steering committee, or other governing bodies to ensure successful implementation (on time, within budget, and within scope). The role includes facilitating the change request process related to assigned projects, preparing supporting documentation, and presenting initial project requests and change requests to the relevant Change Advisory Subgroup(s). Weekly status updates on assigned projects will be provided, and coordination with the Group Manager to ensure necessary support from the Project Management Office (PMO) is required.

Maintenance, Support, and Troubleshooting:

The Analyst will monitor, acknowledge, and resolve help desk tickets as assigned. Coordination of software and hardware updates, service packs, and version upgrades with customer departments and System Administrators is essential. Development and maintenance of documentation for system procedures will also be part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications for Success:

Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required.

Experience in project management is required.

Direct experience with similar systems implemented within the healthcare sector is necessary.

Education:

A four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Enterprise Application Analysts supporting Epic software must demonstrate proficiency in the Epic software relevant to their role. All necessary Epic training and testing applicable to the role must be successfully completed within the first 180 days of employment. Ongoing education requirements must be fulfilled and maintained for applications relevant to the role.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include Epic Prelude, Grand Central, Cadence, Referral, and Welcome.
