Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at IES Commercial, Inc. - C&I Division. As a key member of our commercial and industrial division, you will be responsible for performing power and control wiring of substation equipment and the control house in accordance with project drawings and details as well as electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install substation equipment, conduit, and grounding
  • Perform or assist with other substation tasks such as welding, pipe bending, concrete forming and finishing, erection of steel structures, and material handling
  • Work from all types of ladders and personnel lifting equipment in accordance with safety standards
  • Comply with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as directed
Requirements
  • Valid State Electrical Journeyman's license
  • High School diploma/GED
  • OSHA 10 or ability to obtain
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement
