Job Summary:

The Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic alignment and oversight of electric transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure projects within the Major Projects program. This role will ensure the safe, efficient, and economic execution of projects, collaborating with sponsors, leaders, and subject matter experts across technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage projects and programs through collaboration with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, resource, measure, and report on progress, delivery, and impact.

Maximize the value of strategic consulting partnerships by serving as the main point of interface between consulting partners and OPPD for all stages of projects in the portfolio.

Coordinate and provide progress reporting to executives, leaders, and other stakeholders within OPPD.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or a related field, or a combination of education and demonstrated work experience.

6-8 years of experience in engineering, operation, or project management of large, complex electric transmission, substation, or distribution projects.

Evidence of the ability to work with multiple vendors/professional services to deliver on-time/on-budget projects.

Experienced in contract creation and management of external partners, along with various project management methodologies and tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft suite of office software, with experience in project management software such as Primavera P6, Aconex, Smartsheet, Procore, Autodesk, or others.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work with technical, legal, financial, regulatory, government, and executive level clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in engineering, business management, or a related field.

PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).

Combination of experiences on both electrical generation and electrical delivery fields.

Prior experience managing project programs or portfolios > $50M+, including management of project teams of 10 or more.

Working Conditions:

This position is considered a non-essential position, but may be required to report to work to support the restoration of normal business operations. Must be available for overtime work and call-outs as required to ensure continuance of efficient operation.
