POSITION SUMMARYConducts fundamental credit assessments in line with established credit protocols and standards. The role necessitates the application of sound judgment, analytical thinking, and credit evaluation within defined procedures, with limited oversight. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect, investigate, and assess the credit history of new applicants, acquisition accounts, and current clients, utilizing various data sources and, when applicable, analyzing financial documents.
  • Establish suitable payment terms and any necessary collateral to substantiate the proposed credit limit.
  • Formulate detailed written recommendations, as needed, for assigned customer credit thresholds.
  • Promptly communicate credit limits and security prerequisites to relevant sales, marketing, and management personnel.
  • When necessary, engage professionally with applicants and clients to gather and/or review credit and financial data essential for the credit due diligence process.
  • Timely prepare and distribute credit activity reports to sales, marketing, and management teams, advising them on any potential recommended actions.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the execution of Credit's strategic initiatives.
  • Understand and comply with Credit's internal controls and policies.

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting or finance preferred.
  • Resourceful and self-driven with the capability to troubleshoot independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at evaluating situations and making decisions based on data while leveraging prior experience.
  • Proven critical thinking skills with a mindset geared towards understanding.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume setting.
  • Basic proficiency in analyzing various types of financial statements for individuals and businesses.
  • Fundamental knowledge of business legal structures.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Negotiation skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt as necessary.

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in credit investigation and evaluation within a high-volume credit environment.
