We are seeking a highly skilled Deaf Community Interpreter to provide exceptional interpretation services in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity to work as an interpreter for Sorenson Communications, connecting people through communication access 24/7/365. As a Deaf Community Interpreter, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret between ASL and spoken English with high accuracy and fluency
  • Work effectively in a team environment, receiving support from and providing support to colleagues
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the various interpreting needs in the community setting
  • Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a variety of settings and locations
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Interpreter certification
  • 3 years' experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required)
  • Ability to travel independently in the metropolitan area
