Job Overview

Woongjin, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring inbound freight forwarding flows across all modes of transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and business operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with shipping companies and execution companies to secure favorable transportation resources and fares.
  • Design and implement tools to manage regular shipment monitoring status and report to upper management, customers, and HQ.
  • Analyze data to identify pending issues in terms of seamless movement and share with related parties to resolve the issues.
  • Monitor and compare actual performances of spot freight based on Key Performance Indicators.
  • Establish delivery status reports and share them with customers.
  • Develop plans for innovation tasks in regions/bases, check logistics costs, and discover cost reduction tasks.
  • Identify pending operational issues in regions/bases to establish solutions and inspection standards for each type of logistics.
  • Establish communication channels and regular meeting sessions with carriers, SSL, customers, and internal departments.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as required.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Logistics industry related including load planning, regional or hub operations management preferred.
  • Relevant Industry Knowledge required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, High school GED required.
  • Ability to build trustworthy relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office applications PowerPoint, Word, especially Excel.
  • TMS and WMS system experience preferred.
  • Ability to Prioritize, ability to shift one's focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties.
