Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Clerk to join our team at Pegasus Steel Ladson. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electronic scanning and filing of Raw Material Certifications, Production Reports, and Machine Center Heat Logs, as well as collecting and maintaining Dimensional Inspection Reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter received raw material and supply quantities into JobBOSS
  • Collect and file Dimensional Inspection Reports
  • Enter Quality Data into Inspection Results Database
  • Run Purchase Order Receiving Report from JobBOSS
  • Contact Vendors to determine status of outsourced materials and jobs
  • Perform Internal Quality Audits
  • Update and maintain Preventive Maintenance Logs
  • Provide Certificates of Conformance to Shipping Department
  • Assist other departments with clerical tasks
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Familiarity with ISO9001:2008 Quality System
  • 1 year of auditing experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience with Microsoft Office
  • JobBOSS experience preferred
  • Acceptable criminal background and previous employment reference checks
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required, with previous direct experience minimum, one to three years related experience preferred.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical to a standard office setting with moderate noise levels and high level of activity. The work will mostly be in a climate-controlled environment with occasional work in plant/manufacturing environment.
