Job OverviewDLH Corporation is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for verifying mail order prescriptions for our nation's veterans.
This is a part-time, as-needed position, approximately 24 hours per week, covering the second shift from 3:30pm to 12 midnight, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities- Assess and cross-match drug orders with medications presented at checking stations.
- Compound and dispense medications.
- Pre-verify medications loaded into specialized mechanical equipment.
- Verify and fill controlled substance orders.
- Perform quality assurance functions and supervise pharmacy technicians.
- Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
- Hold a valid and unrestricted pharmacist license in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of one year of recent practical pharmacist experience.
- Ability to obtain VetPro certification.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of citizenship or legal residency in the United States.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to read and communicate in English.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand or sit for long periods.
- Must be able to meet regular and overtime hours required by the facility.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
- Must not have any felony convictions.
- Must be able to pass drug screening, including THC (marijuana).
