Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Tenet Florida Physician Services, L.L.C. as a Patient Account Specialist. As a Healthcare Customer Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring that their needs are met and their concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer service calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist patients with billing and insurance-related issues, providing clear and concise explanations of their account balances and payment options.
  • Work closely with patients to resolve issues and concerns, escalating complex matters to supervisors or other departments as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that patients feel valued and respected throughout their interactions with our team.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as patient accounting and revenue cycle, to ensure seamless communication and resolution of patient issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or patient accounting role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance practices, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working in a call center environment with a team of customer service representatives. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and will be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
