Position Summary:

The Vice President of Risk Management is tasked with ensuring that the organization adheres to all statutory, regulatory, fiscal, and ethical standards, alongside internal policies and procedures. This role is pivotal in establishing, monitoring, and reporting on the organization's risk appetite, tolerances, and limits across the enterprise.

The individual in this position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will play a vital role in shaping the vision and leadership of our risk management department.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Risk Oversight: Ensure compliance with risk management policies and strategies in line with applicable regulations and best practices.
  2. Enterprise Risk Management: Develop and oversee the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the organization.
  3. Risk Monitoring: Identify, monitor, and manage various risks including credit, operational, compliance, and reputational risks.
  4. Strategic Integration: Integrate risk management into strategic planning and business objectives.
  5. Leadership: Provide leadership for all business cases and new initiatives, ensuring alignment with risk management practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk within the financial services sector.
  • 4+ years of management experience.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and the three lines of defense.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high levels of responsibility and accountability.

Working Environment:

The role is primarily office-based, requiring minimal physical demands and offering a comfortable working environment. Occasional travel may be necessary for meetings and conferences.

Professional Development:

The Vice President of Risk Management will be expected to engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry standards and regulatory changes.
