Job Overview

The Patient Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in welcoming, assisting, and guiding patients and their families through the appointment check-in process. This position involves managing appointment scheduling, confirmations, and ensuring comprehensive information is collected to streamline the appointment experience. You will collaborate with healthcare providers, practice personnel, and billing representatives. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for delivering excellent customer service.

Compensation Structure

POSITION IS LOCATED IN SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY

Experience Requirements

Required: A minimum of six (6) months of experience in customer service, clerical work, or front office operations.

Preferred: Background in a medical practice, clinic, or office environment. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems (scheduling/billing).

Educational Qualifications
* Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Preferred: Some post-secondary education, including Medical Office courses.
Specialized Skills Required
* Required: Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office Suite. Capability to manage interruptions due to greeting visitors and handling multiple phone lines. Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment to work collaboratively with others.

Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology such as CPT & ICD10 coding. Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese. Familiarity with scheduling software products and processes.
Licensure Requirements

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
