Job Overview

VSolvit is in search of a SharePoint Engineer at the Mid to Senior level to provide essential support for our DISA Client. This role is pivotal in delivering robust Engineering and Analytical support services, focusing on Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamic 365 Customer Relations Management (CRM) platforms. Our mission is to facilitate the hosting of diverse mission applications, collaboration tools, business intelligence, and workflows. The team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of multiple SharePoint and CRM instances, while also assessing and optimizing existing content and customizations for future migrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver tier 3 technical support for on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
  • Provide on-call assistance for critical incidents and outages beyond standard working hours.
  • Manage and configure IIS and SharePoint infrastructure effectively.
  • Support troubleshooting across systems including OS, SQL, networking, and firewall components to ensure a fully operational SharePoint/CRM farm.
  • Enhance security compliance of all servers through regular patching and applying STIGs as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the SharePoint Architect to ensure infrastructure designs meet DOD security standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain on-premise SharePoint and CRM environments.
  • Assist with upgrades and migrations for SharePoint and CRM systems.
  • Generate input for Weekly and Monthly Reports.
  • Track Change Requests, Incidents, and Work Orders in ServiceNow (SNOW) and coordinate with Service Partners for resolution.
  • Participate in Change Board meetings as required.
  • Produce ADHOC reports related to SharePoint/CRM infrastructure.
  • Maintain and review internal Engineering assets periodically.
  • Document supporting infrastructure details comprehensively.
  • Manage application-level certificates for all SharePoint/CRM farms.
  • Collaborate with the custom development team to deploy solutions to on-prem SharePoint/CRM environments.

Basic Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; capable of working independently and resolving issues.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/system engineering.
  • Proficient in SharePoint versions 2013, 2016, and 2019.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online and CRM systems.
  • General experience with CRM/Platform/Server configurations.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, group policy, LAN/WAN, IP addresses, and SQL server administration.
  • Experience troubleshooting various technical issues related to SharePoint.
  • Possession of Security+ or equivalent certification.
  • Relevant Microsoft or FedVTE certifications focused on Server OS, SharePoint, or CRM.
  • Willingness to pursue additional certifications for professional development.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
  • Experience with Migration Tools such as AvePoint DocAve.
  • Familiarity with O365 services and migrations.
  • Acquired Microsoft certifications.
  • Ability to support a Dynamics Office 365 environment (on-premise).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk) and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Technical Engineering Support for Cyber Security related to SharePoint.
  • Highly Preferred: SQL Server Experience
