Utilizing your skills and experience, assist our client in defining, documenting, and adhering to an open systems framework that employs modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely accepted consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and components that make up the specific system.

Key Responsibilities of the Mid-Level Systems Engineer Include:

+ Planning and designing systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware. Analyze, develop, modify, test, and maintain the system. Ensure systems meet both internal and external requirements through verification and validation. Identify issues and provide recommendations for enhancements on existing and new systems.

+ Serve as a specialist on intricate technical and business matters. Work is predominantly independent. May take on a leadership role within the work group.

+ Support systems integration engineering management planning efforts and assist in the development of essential programmatic and process documents such as Systems Roadmaps and Interoperability Assessments.

+ Deliver programmatic technical briefings and documentation that may be presented to stakeholders.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders and Navy, military, and agency program participants to address engineering-level issues and topics.

+ Review concepts, plans, demonstrations, and other documents as necessary, providing analysis and recommendations.

+ Assist in capability phasing and conduct requirements analysis as needed.

+ Participate in technical service meetings and other technical exchanges.

+ Provide support for defining and evolving combat system requirements and capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field and a minimum of six (6) years of full-time professional experience as a systems engineer in at least one major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem.

OR

+ Associate’s Degree in a technical field and at least eight (8) years of full-time professional experience as a systems engineer in at least one major shipboard, non-propulsion electronic subsystem.

+ A minimum of two (2) years must have been full-time experience at the system level. Education may be substituted by equivalent experience.

+ Must possess an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
