Position Overview:

Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled Product Repair/Mod Tech C for a contract opportunity. This role is based in a dynamic environment focused on aerospace vehicle maintenance and modification.


Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace systems by replacing or upgrading components to rectify failures or implement necessary changes.
  • Oversee the assembly and disassembly processes, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment effectively.
  • Troubleshoot intricate pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify mechanical or electrical faults and repair defective components.
  • Conduct validation and verification testing of systems and components to ensure operational integrity.
  • Document procedures and processes to maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory standards, including repairs, test results, and inspection outcomes.
  • Inspect components and verify repairs to meet flight worthiness criteria.
  • Provide oversight and training to team members.

Project Focus:

This role involves working on aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification projects within a collaborative team of six professionals.


Physical Requirements:

The position may require:

  • Heavy lifting and long hours on your feet.
  • Working in confined spaces and utilizing harnesses.

Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A willingness to travel.
  • Experience in modification, repair, and retrofitting.
  • General experience with large military aircraft.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing C-17 aircraft.
  • Expertise in aircraft electrical troubleshooting, repair, and operational checkout.
  • Knowledge of aircraft avionics troubleshooting, repair, and operational checkout.

Educational Background:

Education and experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School diploma/GED) along with four or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/Associate degree plus two years of related work, Bachelor’s degree, etc.).


Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with first shift hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
