Position OverviewSentara Healthcare is currently in search of a Clinical Nurse Specialist for our Medical Surgical - GI Unit.

This unit caters to a diverse patient demographic, including individuals with Stroke, Kidney Disorders, Diabetes, Diagnostic Evaluations, GI Surgical needs, and Respiratory issues. Our nursing team on this 25-bed medical unit is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and actively participates in decisions that influence operational efficiency. The unit's educational leader provides tailored orientation and supervises continuous professional development to enhance your career trajectory.

This role is a full-time night shift opportunity.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist with Sentara, you will have the opportunity to thrive in your profession. The primary responsibilities of this position include evaluating and admitting patients, conducting rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing the comprehensive care of your patients. Qualifications:

  • Active RN License
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
