Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced and specialized clinical knowledge and skills to facilitate patient-focused care and promote health and well-being.
  • Drive practice changes throughout the organization to ensure the use of evidence-based care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Provide expertise and support to patients, families, nurses, and organization/systems through direct care, leadership, coaching, research, ethical decision making, collaboration, and consultation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience, with recent experience in a hospital setting required.
  • Experience with adult population required.
  • RN license in Virginia or compact/multi-state eligible.
  • Certified in specialty area deemed eligible for CNS as recognized by State Boards of Nursing.
  • CNS registration with Virginia or North Carolina Board of Nursing required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for Intermediate Care and Critical Care.
