NATURE OF WORK
Under general supervision, this role involves performing tasks of moderate complexity in the acquisition, organization, and management of resources for the Public Health Services District; this position carries specific responsibilities pertinent to the department.
Key Responsibilities
(Illustrative Only) Establishes a centralized and standardized procurement and storage system to enhance efficiency in the acquisition, receipt, distribution, and rotation of goods, materials, supplies, and equipment for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Program; ensures sufficient supplies of PPE and operational materials for daily functions as well as a reserve cache for emergency response; manages the procurement, verification, storage, staging, and distribution of goods, materials, supplies, and equipment; oversees the receipt of shipments by loading and unloading boxes, crates, and pallets; inspects all incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, storing resources in designated areas for distribution or deployment as needed; accurately logs all received resources into a software system, detailing resource category, description, inventory group, group number, and quantity; processes requisition orders and documentation in accordance with county procurement policies and procedures; conducts regular inventories and maintains effective inventory control of warehouse items and equipment; processes requests for critical PPE to local agencies, determining availability, pulling requested resources, generating pick-tickets in the software system, and distributing resources; communicates with vendors for pricing and product information; assists in completing requisitions and processing invoices; aids in the coordination of surplus property auctions by collecting, storing, and disposing of surplus items; may operate pallet jacks and handle hazardous materials and medical supplies; may perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment as necessary; maintains a clean and organized workspace; ensures adherence to safe working procedures and reports any unsafe conditions; maintains records and reports of all incoming and outgoing surplus; schedules delivery of auction/surplus items; regular and reliable attendance is essential; undertakes special projects and additional duties as required.
Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; two (2) years of experience in procurement and warehouse operations along with inventory management, OR any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Special Requirements:
Successful completion of a background check is required; must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Federal, state, and county grant regulations and procedures; health district policies and procedures; county and state procurement policies and procedures; basic receiving and distribution methods; inventory control systems and procedures; safety hazards and precautions associated with warehouse operations; principles and practices of safe motor vehicle operations and basic maintenance; file maintenance procedures and practices; office practices and procedures.
Skill in:
Inspecting materials for compliance with specifications; performing and verifying mathematical computations; utilizing computerized inventory systems; preparing clear, comprehensive, and accurate reports; following and communicating written and verbal instructions; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
Ability to:
Execute numerous essential record-keeping duties to organize and ensure accuracy of warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory databases; identify materials, parts, and supplies through visual inspection and verbal description; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; follow written and verbal instructions; communicate effectively in writing; perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Lift and carry boxes, crates, bags, parcel packages, and supplies up to 50 lbs.; work is performed in a warehouse, storage containers, outdoors, and an office environment; operate warehouse equipment such as rolling carts, two-wheeled dollies, and pallet jacks; operate a motor vehicle and travel to/from various locations; perform manual work that requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching arms above the head, and climbing elevations; moderate exposure to dust, noise, and temperature extremes.

Medical Coverage Category
The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ).
The employee is able to select from three (3) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employee's needs, dependents, or families.
Plan Option 1:
Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.
Plan Option 2:
Preferred Provider Option B (PPO) or PPO B 1,500 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.
Plan Option 3:
High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) with a 1700 deductible. Employees who participate in the " Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing three steps.
Employer contributes a total of $800.04 to employees Health Savings Account.
If employees select Employee only and participate in the " Wellness Incentive" employees can receive up to contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card to be used for medical or dental purposes.
Southwest Service Administrator (SSA)Mexico PPO Health Plan:
SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and PPO Plan B.
The SSA Plan pays 100% of hospital, medical, laboratory, and prescription drug benefits, to a maximum of $5,000 per person per calendar year ($10,000 for two or more family members).
