Job Overview

Fortress Engineering Group LLC is a dynamic and innovative design-build firm dedicated to teamwork and creativity. We are currently looking for a Florida Registered Architect to join our expanding team in Northeast Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in the design and planning stages of both residential and commercial projects, crafting inventive and practical solutions that fulfill client needs while complying with building codes and regulations.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and other pertinent software to create precise and detailed architectural drawings.
  • Prepare thorough construction documents and specifications.
  • Manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Florida's building codes, zoning laws, and other relevant standards.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable codes and regulations.

Leadership Duties:

  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive workplace, encouraging open dialogue and idea exchange among team members.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, supporting their professional growth and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Engage with clients to grasp their vision and requirements, fostering strong relationships built on trust and effective communication.
  • Commit to excellence by ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and design principles.
  • Identify opportunities for training and development, contributing to the overall enhancement of the team's skill set.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Florida Architect License.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed architect.
  • Demonstrated success in completing residential and commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling and rendering tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to think creatively and address complex design challenges.
  • Strong conceptual and design capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in drafting, documentation, and project oversight.
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality results.
