Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Senior Accountant who possesses the expertise and enthusiasm to oversee all facets of accounting, from foundational journal entries to high-level policy formulation. This role is ideal for individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, closing processes, GAAP regulations, sales tax, and contract management. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively are essential.

In this position, you will collaborate across departments to navigate significant business challenges. Success in this role requires the ability to articulate financial outcomes and complex accounting principles to non-financial stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete accounting program, reporting directly to the VP of Finance.
  • Manage financial records, accruals, and processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and timely reporting in a rapidly growing organization.
  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to support company growth and effective cash flow management.
  • Develop processes, controls, and documentation to prepare for future GAAP audit compliance.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Finance on the processing of new customer contracts, ensuring accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and ARR reporting.
Qualifications:
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred, along with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and reporting under US GAAP.
  • 8+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity within a SaaS environment; experience in startups is a plus.
  • Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, accruals, reserves, and intercompany transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of deferred revenue and revenue recognition principles in a SaaS context (ASC606).
  • Proficient in managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice generation, presentation, collection, and ongoing process enhancement.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments on vendor management, procurement, and contract renewals.
  • Familiarity with sales tax systems and reporting.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and multiple time-sensitive deliverables while adapting to changing business needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible paid vacation, sick leave, stock options, medical, vision, and dental insurance, parental leave, and a learning budget for professional development.

Our Values:
  • Agile: We embrace flexibility and adaptability, learning from our customers and each other.
  • Clear and Concise: We prioritize quality and clarity in our decision-making processes.
  • Positive: We aim to create uplifting experiences for our customers and team members.
  • Human: We operate with empathy and thoughtfulness in all our interactions.
  • Maximum Impact: We strive to exceed expectations and make a meaningful difference for our customers.
