Key Responsibilities- Oversee the finance and accounting processes of our firm, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Partner with senior management to identify process improvements and make recommendations for change.
- Conduct financial analysis and reconciliation to ensure accurate data.
- Prepare financial reports and books and records for the Broker-Dealer in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support business decisions.
- Ensure timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and make strategic recommendations for process modifications.
- Maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and provide value-added insights to stakeholders.
- Manage tax planning and compliance with federal, state, local, and other applicable taxes.
- Supervise and/or perform financial responsibilities under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
- Provide expert knowledge of accounting processes and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure financial information and systems are integrated and efficient.
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance required; Advanced degree is a plus.
- Series 27 required.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of relevant broker-dealer experience in Operations and/or Finance.
- Expert knowledge of broker-dealer operations and regulatory reporting needs.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to synthesize data.
- Extremely reliable character with discretion.
- Prior experience across several disciplines, including Operations, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, Cash Management, and Treasury.
$200,000 - $240,000 plus 10% to 15% annual bonus
