Director, Commercial Finance Leader

About the Role:

The Commercial Finance Director will lead the Commercial Finance team and act as a strategic advisor for the Sales leads for each Channel/Country. This role requires a combination of strong business acumen, commercial finance, and partnering and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on identification of opportunities to drive improvements in top and bottom line and other key outcomes.
  • Delivering the commercial results of the North America cluster (P&L and Balance Sheet) and acting as the 'engine room' of Business Performance management.
  • Take strong personal ownership of achieving required business outcomes and driving best practices.
  • Improved business performance within the Cluster with tangible results driven by Finance.
  • Built strong relationships with Business Partners, and having embedded themselves within crucial business processes.
  • Process improvements to drive efficiencies in areas such as Month-End Close, Forecast updates, Target Setting and ongoing reporting.
  • New reporting/processes around Customer Profitability and Long Range Planning.
  • Improved accuracy of Financial Forecasts (Budget, LE, Weekly Book, etc).
  • Provide financial and commercial support to drive performance and influence delivery of the commercial result.
  • Provide actionable insight to key forums based on risk, opportunity and sensitivity.
  • Set financial and operational KPIs/drivers.
  • Approve business cases.
  • Be part of the core teams of strategic projects within Cluster/Market (e.g. investments, new category/channel/product creation and launch), hereunder provide analysis.

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years experience within a similar role within a global organisation.
  • Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry.
  • Understand strategic development and business priorities.
  • Strong demonstratable stakeholder management, business partnering and influencing.
  • Strong and effective communication –
  • Fluency in English - verbal and written.
  • Willing to travel regularly and an international mindset.
