Job Overview:

At Washington Auto Mall, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership volume, gross profit, and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish personal income goals that align with dealership standards and develop strategies to achieve them.
• Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly performance to optimize time management and planning.
• Collaborate with the Sales Management Team to report on objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
• Stay up-to-date on incoming inventory, product features, and accessories to provide exceptional customer service.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Dealership's vision, mission, and values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Prospecting:

• Update and maintain customer relations management system (CRM) information from phone calls, internet leads, mail campaigns, referrals, and customer follow-up.
• Keep the dealership top-of-mind for prospects and customers through ongoing communication.

Selling:

• Welcome customers and identify the purpose of their visit.
• Ask questions and actively listen to understand customer needs and preferences.
• Present the right vehicle, features, and information in a clear and organized manner.
• Create mental ownership during test drives by having customers imagine and feel what it would be like to own the vehicle.
• Clearly present financing information and options for taking ownership of the vehicle.
• Work with the service and detail departments to ensure vehicles are prepped as expected and on schedule.
• Conduct a final inspection prior to delivery and present the owner's manual in a timely manner.

Follow Up:

• Make follow-up calls to customers regarding 'we-owe' status, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction.
• Call customers to remind them of their first service appointment and ask for referrals.
• Utilize the CRM system to maintain customer relationships that encourage repeat and referral business and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior sales experience preferred.
• Experience providing quality customer service.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Conduct yourself in a manner that brings credibility to the dealership.
