Directional Bore Specialist

This position is responsible for operating directional drill equipment to install communications conduit, gas, water, and sewer lines. The successful candidate will have experience with directional boring and a strong understanding of utility placement and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload directional bore equipment in a secure and damage-free manner
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment safely
- Complete daily inspections on bore equipment before commencing work
- Prepare drill fluid based on site conditions
- Operate directional drill equipment in accordance with company and industry standards
- Locate and verify cables and utilities in accordance with blueprints
- Identify and mark utilities in the construction area and bore path
- Connect and stub-up conduit and wire
- Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required
- Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Accurately complete company documentation for each assignment
- Adhere to company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Applicants must have a Class A CDL and one year of experience operating a directional borer, preferably in the telecommunications field. Previous rock boring experience is also preferred.
TravelWeekly travel is required for this position, and the company will pay hotel expenses and per diem.
