Job Title: Fleet Mechanic

Thermo King Northeast is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Lancaster, NY. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of 140 dry vans, 120 reefer trailers, and 6 yard horses.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to work on our 3rd shift, 4-day work week. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to prioritize tasks, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair fleet of trailers per industry standards
  • Follow established technical and administrative processes
  • Complete repair orders and parts usage forms, PM lists, and parts accountability
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, and customers
  • Remain current on technical and regulation requirements
  • Perform road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules, regulations, and government guidelines
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience as an automotive, truck, bus, or trailer technician
  • Ability to prioritize and complete job assignments
  • Proficient with computer operation/usage
  • Valid driver's license, CDL preferred
  • Reliable, motivated, strong work ethic, can-do attitude
  • Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions
  • A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required
