Collector/Account Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Collector/Account Specialist to join our team at Bemis Law Offices. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving debt collection cases, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and resolve debt collection cases, including negotiating payments with debtors and conveying offers to clients.
- Handle contested files before trial and provide support to collectors as needed.
- Ensure stipulation or promissory notes are sent to debtors and imaged in files.
- Review forecast reports to ensure payments are received and communicate with clients regarding debtors who have skipped.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including running auto pays, putting numbers/fees on the board, and approving credit card or Vericheck auto pays.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in office and computer work, with a preference for two years of related experience and/or training.
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
