Role Overview:

In the capacity of a Lead Geotechnical Engineering Specialist, you will be instrumental in supervising and directing construction materials evaluation and geotechnical initiatives, ensuring the utmost quality and adherence to industry regulations. You will collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and laboratory personnel to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining our commitment to excellence. You will oversee medium to large-scale Construction Materials Evaluation, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resource distribution. Engaging closely with clients to understand their specific project requirements and going above and beyond to guarantee their satisfaction will be key aspects of your role.

Moreover, you will mentor and develop a team of skilled professionals and field personnel, promoting their growth in client engagement and project oversight. Building a strong local client network and expanding your professional connections to drive revenue growth in alignment with our ambitious financial objectives will be crucial. You will lead local and regional business development efforts, enhancing our visibility through strategic marketing initiatives. Lastly, you will prepare detailed field and laboratory cost estimates and proposals tailored to project specifications, International Building Code (IBC) standards, and client preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Materials Evaluation, Special Inspections, and Geotechnical projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong understanding of relevant ASTM, AASHTO, and DOT standards and procedures, IBC Special Inspections, and geotechnical recommendations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
