AmeriQual Foods is currently in search of a Manufacturing Engineer to enhance their expanding Engineering team. In this capacity, the individual will manage and implement engineering projects and equipment upgrades to facilitate the company's growth objectives. This adaptable role is ideal for both recent graduates and seasoned professionals.

This position offers a competitive salary with primarily first shift hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the installation, operation, and upkeep of machinery and systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment installations and enhancements.
  • Establish effective preventive maintenance protocols to ensure machinery operates optimally.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
  • Comply with safety and environmental regulations consistently.
  • Communicate project timelines and coordinate downtime requirements with team members.
  • Monitor production schedules closely to effectively plan projects and repairs requiring machine downtime.
  • Report production challenges to all levels of management.
  • Assist in the design and improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve production goals while enhancing efficiency and quality.
  • Provide production support by diagnosing equipment and process issues.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with team members, customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Offer technical support to the Maintenance team regarding spare parts, predictive, and preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to safety standards and company policies.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with corporate policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • A solid understanding of Project Management principles.
  • Proven ability to make decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, and holidays to maximize equipment availability for projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Self-driven with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of current safety standards and OSHA regulations.
