Role Overview

As a key contributor, you will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in development and support activities within the data warehousing domain utilizing ETL tools and technologies.
  • Comprehend high-level designs, application interface designs, and create low-level designs. Conduct application analysis and propose technical solutions for enhancements or to resolve production challenges.
  • Execute development and deployment tasks. You should be capable of coding, unit testing, and deploying applications.
  • Generate necessary documentation for all phases of project deliverables.
  • Address production issues (Tier 2 support, weekend on-call rotation) to resolve operational challenges and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Qualifications

  • 6-15 years of experience in implementing high-end software products.
  • Expertise in Oracle/SQL with the ability to write complex SQL/PL-SQL and perform optimization.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Azure Databricks.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Spark or Databricks for building data pipelines.
  • Strong background in cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in development, performance tuning, and loading into Snowflake, BigQuery, or other large-scale databases.
  • Experience with Azure Repos or GitHub.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other DevOps tools.
  • Proficient in Unix and advanced Unix shell scripting.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.

Preferred Skills

  • Desire to learn various data warehousing technologies and work outside of comfort zones with other ETL technologies (Oracle, Qlik Replicate, Golden Gate, Hadoop). Hands-on experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with job schedulers.
