Role Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to design, develop, modify, debug, and maintain software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in Development & Support tasks within the Data Warehousing domain utilizing ETL tools and technologies.
- Analyze High-Level Designs and Application Interface Designs, and create Low-Level Designs. Conduct application analysis and propose technical solutions for enhancements or to resolve production challenges.
- Execute Development & Deployment tasks, including coding, unit testing, and deployment.
- Prepare necessary documentation for all phases of project deliverables.
- Address Production Issues (Tier 2 Support, weekend on-call rotation) to resolve production challenges and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Qualifications
- 6-15 years of experience in implementing high-end software products.
- Expertise in Oracle/SQL with the ability to write complex SQL/PL-SQL and optimize performance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Azure Databricks.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Spark or Databricks for building data pipelines.
- Strong background in Cloud technologies.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Development, Performance Tuning, and loading into Snowflake, BigQuery, or any large-scale database.
- Experience with Azure Repos or GitHub.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other DevOps tools.
- Proficient in Unix and advanced Unix Shell Scripting.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Desire to learn various data warehousing technologies and work outside of comfort zones with other ETL technologies (e.g., Oracle, Qlik Replicate, Golden Gate, Hadoop). Hands-on experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with job schedulers.
