Position Overview: The Culinary Preparation Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and production of all menu offerings. This position is responsible for the preparation of sauces, soups, and stocks, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for the line cooks to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all food items by washing, chopping, and cutting in accordance with recipe guidelines.
  • Adhere to all preparation lists established by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
  • Accurately measure all ingredients and strictly follow all recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, including all knives, cutting boards, and preparation areas.
  • Rotate all prepared stock and ensure proper labeling and dating of all products, adhering to FIFO and company standards.
  • Organize and sanitize walk-in storage areas.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all food products.
  • Communicate product needs effectively to the culinary team.
  • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management.
  • Prioritize safety and comply with departmental and company safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be capable of standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and bend to handle weights up to 40 lbs.
  • This role may involve tasks requiring repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to hot kitchen equipment and cleaning agents is expected.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Must possess a valid, non-expired Food Handlers' certification.
