Claims Service Specialist Role Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Service Specialist to join our team at Government Employees Insurance Company. As a Claims Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to policyholders during the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to policyholders, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking and communication skills, effectively managing multiple claims and interacting with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist policyholders in gathering necessary information and providing guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure seamless claims processing and resolution.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies.
