POSITION SUMMARY

As a Registered Dietitian, you will leverage your extensive knowledge in nutrition to develop tailored dietary plans that ensure patients receive the highest standard of nutritional care.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition Services

SCHEDULE: Day Shift

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or to be obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Preferred experience of 1 to 3 years in a clinical setting
  • Proficient analytical, computer, and communication abilities
  • Exceptional skills in customer service and patient interaction

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Nutritional Assessment: Conduct thorough nutritional evaluations for all patients; participate in Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned cases; track and document patient progress.
  • Dietary Planning: Offer guidance on formulations, rates, and volumes for tube feeding and TPN patients; educate patients and families on specialized diets and general nutrition principles; prepare dietary instructions for complex dietary needs.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Create care plans based on clinical data, patient interviews, diagnoses, and treatment objectives; supervise dietetic technicians in delivering patient care.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Dietetics (Mandatory)

CREDENTIALS REQUIRED:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires regular walking, standing, or squatting.
