This role involves overseeing oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition support, as well as screening, assessing, educating, monitoring, and evaluating patients according to established practice guidelines and Nutrition Services policies.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' nutritional needs.
- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments, including screening for malnutrition and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement nutrition interventions, such as patient education and counseling, to promote healthy eating habits and improve nutritional outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensure to practice dietetics in South Carolina.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
