GCI is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our Technology Solutions group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Define, design, and implement network and/or system facilities utilizing standard engineering concepts of availability, efficiency, redundancy, scalability, and security.
- Audit, forecast, and manage capacity, bandwidth forecasting, hardware, software licensing, and hosted devices.
- Coordinate with project management and engineering teams on a regular basis.
- Support and manage escalations.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Maximize performance using network monitoring tools, troubleshooting network and/or system outages, scheduling updates, and collaborating with architects on optimization.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field.
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in progressive engineering in information technology, development, and engineering, moderate to complex project management within telecommunications or related background.
- Experience within the telecommunications industry.
- Other telecom industry or job specific certifications.
