Job Overview

At Resource Data, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team of technical consultants. As a key member of our team, you'll leverage your expertise to design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructures for our diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis, configuration, design, implementation, and testing of complex network solutions for client systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
  • Utilize deep technical knowledge in routing, switching, and various networking protocols
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in networking, including extensive experience with firewalls, load balancers, and a range of networking vendors
  • Address and resolve advanced network issues, such as spanning tree problems, and optimize routing strategies
  • Engage in hands-on tasks including installation and maintenance of networking hardware, such as firewalls, load balancers, and cabling in diverse environments
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical users - both internal and customer teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in dedicated networking role with a strong focus on networking protocols
  • Experience in technical writing and network diagramming
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as working in cable rooms, handling equipment in racks, and conducting installations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to different locations for on-site work and support
  • Demonstrated success in building trust and rapport with clients
