Job Overview

Bridges Public Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team. As an English Language Arts Teacher for 4th-5th Grade, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging, universally designed lessons that cater to learner variability.
  • Utilize the Universal Design for Learning Framework to design and implement curriculum standards-based units.
  • Instruct and assess students in English Language Arts, utilizing a range of assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive and engaging lessons for all students.
  • Establish a positive classroom culture and environment, incorporating Responsive Classroom techniques.
  • Engage with parents and families to promote student learning and serve as an ambassador for the school.
Accountability
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student work, utilizing multiple assessment tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and utilize data to inform instruction.
  • Regularly analyze student data to improve instruction and ensure equity.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. workday and maintain regular attendance.
  • Participate in weekly Professional Learning Community meetings and contribute to PLC sessions.
  • Seek out opportunities for professional development to enhance personal and school-wide goals.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education (preferred).
  • Candidates with a BA must have a passing score on state required tests for the specific grade level or certification.
  • 1-2 years of teaching experience in an urban school setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of pedagogy and experience teaching in a constructivist way.
Benefits

Bridges Public Charter School offers a competitive salary range of $57,500-$88,500, based on educational level, certification(s), and years of experience. The successful candidate will be contracted yearly, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
