Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

Job Summary:

Creative Pathways, Inc. is seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will provide substance abuse treatment services in an outpatient setting, counseling individuals suffering from alcohol or other drug addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive individualized treatment plans, referral, and education services.
  • Evaluate individual and family systems, assess client functioning, and identify areas needing continued support and resources.
  • Maintain accurate case records and provide required documentation.
  • Provide follow-up and aftercare planning services as needed, expeditiously discharging inactive clients.
  • Offer emergency services during work hours and after hours as assigned.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with experience working with the substance abuse population.
  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in sociology, social work, arts, science, or related field.
  • Certification in alcohol and drug counseling.
  • License to practice as a substance abuse counselor is mandatory.
