About the Role

As a Mechanic at First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our buses and ensuring they are in top condition for transporting students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Diagnose and repair issues with our fleet of vehicles
  • Assist with mobile emergency services and respond to vehicle breakdowns
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
  • Mechanic's tool set and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • ASE testing and certification a plus
What We Offer
  • $27.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • ASE incentive of $0.25/hour for each relevant ASE obtained
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 am- 5:30 pm, full-time shift
