As a Mechanic at First Student, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of students who rely on us for transportation to and from school.

Our Mechanic Role Offers:

  • $27.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications
  • $3,000 Sign on Bonus (conditions apply)

About the Job:

Our technicians perform maintenance to ensure our fleet of vehicles is safe for road travel. We use diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues needing repair work. As a technician, your day will include performing maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.

You Might Be a Fit for Our Mechanic Role If:

  • You want to work in a position that meaningfully impacts your community
  • You have 3 or more years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • You have a valid driver's license and a willingness to obtain a CDL (we will train you)
  • You have a mechanic's tool set
  • You want to grow, learn, and develop your skillset through ASE testing
