Job Title: Surgical Technologist - Cardiac Thoracic Transplant Evening Shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Cardiac Thoracic Transplant unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery, with a minimum of two years of scrub experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the Operating Room, promoting patient safety, and assisting the surgeon during surgery.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Operating Room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist the surgeon during surgery, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Care for patients during surgery, providing emotional support and ensuring their comfort.
  • Care for instruments and supplies used in surgery, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to promote patient safety and ensure a smooth surgical process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong background in cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery.
  • Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Prior traveler experience highly preferred.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
