Job Summary

This is a full-time cardiologist position at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general and interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary, peripheral, and cardiac structural procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Provide specialty consultation for inpatient and outpatient cardiology, as well as attending presence in the clinic, Heart Station, Cath Lab, and CCU.
  • Supervise house staff and educate them on various aspects of cardiology.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
