Job Description

As a key member of the BE&K Building Group team, the Assistant Superintendent will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the distribution of construction documents to the project team, including plans, specifications, and field reports.
  • Manage layout and verify the correctness of field dimensions to ensure compliance with established line and grade.
  • Verify subcontractor layout to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Champion the BE&K Quality Management Program, conducting inspections and documenting deficiencies.
  • Monitor job progress on-site, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
  • Document daily construction activity using written reports, photographs, and other software tools.
  • Develop and distribute daily and weekly work plans to the project team.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with customers and clients, providing updates on construction status and addressing concerns.
  • Compile and maintain permits, testing, and inspections required for project completion.
  • Assist in the administration of the BE&K Safety Program, including pre-construction meetings and daily monitoring.
  • Supervise and mentor BE&K Field Engineers in their daily work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (ideal but not mandatory).
  • 2+ years of experience in related construction fields.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with strong communication skills.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks.
