Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at SERVPRO of South Durham. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate scopes of work, delivering consistent and complete estimates, and managing day-to-day construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships for construction services
  • Educate customers on the construction process and ensure estimates meet client requirements
  • Compile and resolve punch list items, and perform final walk-throughs with customers
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings, provide project updates, and analyze labor, material, and time requirements for projects
  • Identify and document finalized project scope of work, and work with outside resources to complete accurate estimates
  • Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers, ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local codes, and document project activities
  • Execute change orders, maintain quality standards through site inspections, and provide evaluation and rating of vendors and subcontractors
Requirements
  • 2 years of previous construction estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience preferred
  • Superb customer service track record, effective written and oral communication, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient use of Xactimate estimating software preferred, and valid and current driver's license with a good record
  • Able and willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Exposure to chemicals, walking and/or standing throughout the day, frequent driving and sitting, and occasional climbing of ladders
  • Ability to work in tight spaces, repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, and occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
  • This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with frequent on-call and weekend work required
  • Travel is required and is primarily local, with a vehicle provided
