Respiratory Care Specialist

Children's Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the well-being of our young patients.
Job Summary:The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to respiratory care, including but not limited to:
- Providing direct patient care, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, and oxygen therapy
- Documenting patient status, patient response, and respiratory practitioner interventions
- Participating in multidisciplinary treatment teams and providing health teaching to patients and families
- Utilizing established standards of evidence-based care to guide practice
The Respiratory Care Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Providing direct patient care, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, and oxygen therapy
- Documenting patient status, patient response, and respiratory practitioner interventions
- Participating in multidisciplinary treatment teams and providing health teaching to patients and families
- Utilizing established standards of evidence-based care to guide practice
- Participating in continuing educational opportunities and staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in respiratory care
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care
- A two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- A valid RRT certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current BLS certification
