Respiratory Care Specialist

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate respiratory care services.
- Apply knowledge of cardio-respiratory anatomy and physiology to respiratory care practices.
- Utilize data and laboratory findings to optimize care delivery.
- Perform and document diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with departmental standards.
- Match equipment needs with associated diagnostic/therapeutic intervention.
- Demonstrate patient-centered behaviors and provide timely reports to receiving therapists.
- Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program from an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) program.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Texas Medical Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC).
- Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Experience in neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care.
